Education Transformation #5: The Scriptovia Interview
When I was in San Fransisco receiving the Totally Wired Teacher Award this past summer, I had the pleasure of meeting Aseem Badshah of Scriptovia.com. He is the most articulate young visionary that I have seen for education in the coming years. I talk more about the experience of hearing him talk here. Needless to say, his words and ideas need to be heard by a large majority of our teachers and educational pundits.
I also want as many Aseems in my classes as possible. How do we make that part happen as well?

Hi Ben,
Thanks for publishing this! I would like to chat with you a bit more about some of the points made here. Could you email me when you get a chance (aseem@scriptovia.com)

I really enjoyed this chat guys and I think Aseem is on the money. Knowing how to find valid information is THE key skill kids need to learn. It reminds me of the old Henry Ford “history is bunk” court case when Ford told the court that, while he may not have a great grasp of ‘facts’, give him a telephone and he can find the answers to any question in under five minutes. I’ve always thought that was a good lesson.
